Gina Miarka
Head certified veterinary technician Gina has helped care for pets at West Suburban since 2006. Her life is dedicated to working with animals and she loves being part of the friendly, caring staff at the hospital. She received her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology from Colorado Mountain College in 1991. At home, she enjoys the companionship of her cat, Kalani. Cooking, swimming, baking and spending time with family and friends are among her many hobbies.
Megan Presler
Certified veterinary technician Megan Presler has been part of the West Suburban team since 2006. She has worked in the animal care field for more than 14 years and loves working with the caring staff at the hospital and learning new skills. She received her Associate's Degree in Veterinary Medical Technology from Joliet Junior College in 2001 and her Bachelor's Degree in Biological Sciences from Northern Illinois University in 2005.
Megan is the fundraising and events coordinator for Illinois Saint Bernard Rescue. She shares her home with two Asian water turtles and a dog. A rabid fan of the Bears and the White Sox, Megan also likes to travel in her free time.
Laurie Martin
Veterinary technician Laurie Martin is a Chicago native and has been part of the West Suburban Veterinary Associates team since 2008. She is proud to be part of a team that is dedicated to preserving the human-animal bond and treats all clients and pets with honesty, integrity and compassion. Laurie is the proud parent of 5 children and grandmother to 3.5 grandchildren. She also shares her home with three dogs, Brody, a Boxer-Pit Bull mix; Bridget, a Boxer, and Art, a Chihuahua, as well as Oliver, a cat. Writing, hiking, and cooking are among her many hobbies.
